Accounting fundamental is receipts and payments to various Ledger.
While Receipts and Payments can be associated to Individuals and Companies, entering a single offertory to multiple ledger creates a different challenge.
CSI Church Accounting involves a member (Subscriber) offering a amount that needs to be divided and posted to various Ledgers. And these offertory needs to be reported as part of Ledger report as well as Subscription report.
Add to that is one of the Ledger is Monthly Subscription that decides the Members’ membership status.
Above that each Ledger also needs to manage offertories received as per the service they are received.
Finally these ledger needs to be reported as Assessable and Non Assessable format to derive the amount to be paid to the Diocesan every month.
These system is perfected over the years and provides excellent accounting practice among CSI churches.
